This is a stirring arrangement of "As Zion's Youth in Latter Days," Hymn 256. It is arranged for a youth choir with the YW divided into Soprano and Alto and the YM singing together. It includes an invigorating counter-melody sung by the young men. There are also many elements of the 2009 theme scripture 1 Timothy 4:12. This piece was first sung in a stake conference with a stake youth choir of about 80 youth with General Authorities present. It was difficult to find a dry eye afterwards.

A new major project of mine is to make a collection of hymn arrangements that appeal to our youth. Sometimes hymns out of the hymn book can seem somewhat distant when the rhythm sounds "dated" or "cheesy" (Their words, not mine). This is an arrangement that softens the 6/8 feel of the original to a more easy rythmic pattern but retains the sacred nature of the text - as is always my goal.
